In PSHE today we talked about keeping our environment clean and how we can look after it. Litter picking in your area is a great idea of how you can help keep litter from going into our water ways, seas and help keep animals from harm.

Big Schools Bird Watch
Our students have been taking part in the RSPB's Bird Watch, collecting data on the different types of Birds living in the local area. We will upload the data onto the RSPB's website which contributes to the Big Bird Watch UK census.

5M and 5I have visited the Range shopping centre to collect supplies for enterprise and volunteering activities. We practiced looking for items we needed and asking the shop assistants for help.

Myerscough group
Students have been handling the Bearded dragon and the Geko today at Myerscough. They have worked in groups to bath both reptiles in preparation for them shedding their skin.
Students also cleaned out the Gerbil cages and make the rodents some enrichment of their enclosures.

2E Morning Minibeast Hunt.
2E enjoyed a minibeast hunt in the Berry building mud kitchen area.
They explored the different habitats that insects might live in and found ladybirds, worms, slugs, woodlice and a centipede.
Pupils returned all insects back to nature and washed their hands afterwards.

Leaf Printing
Whilst in the Hive this morning we collected some leaves to take back to our classroom. We wanted to have a go at leaf printing outside but it was too wet so we decided to do it inside. The children absolutely loved painting the leaf and pressing them down onto the paper before peeling the leaves…
